Happy Sunday! How has your week been? It’s been a busy but lovely week in the Frugal Cottage household. It’s been Alfie’s fourth birthday this week, so we’ve had his birthday party, days out with grandparents and just had a really good week. That’s not to say that spending is going well – I’m spending far too much!
I have been thinking about how to tackle the summer holidays next year; I have been very unprepared for all of this to be honest and hadn’t factored in any extra money in the budget. However, we’ve been doing more as I’m off with the boys and so need to do something with them so we’re not just stuck at home. Obviously, I can do some things that don’t cost anything but even the little things add up. So, yes, need to have a think about how to do this next year.
Other than that (!) this week has been straightforward. Mind, it’s been tiring so we have had a couple of quiet days at home not doing a lot. Plus the weather hasn’t been great so it makes me want to stay at home and keep warm and dry.
However, I am continuing to do lots of blogging work behind the scenes, including posting regularly on Instagram and filming for YouTube. I’d love it if you could join me on both platforms – I have lots of content planned for both! These are my favourite at the moment 🙂
5 things I’ve enjoyed/been grateful for this week:
1) Watching Alfie with all of his friends at his birthday party. Best day ever!
2) Days out with parents and in laws.
3) The rain – I love listening to it on the windows.
4) Making brownies with Alfie – fab warm from the oven with a cuppa 🙂
5) Making new cash envelopes – watch this space!
What have you enjoyed reading this week? Any plans for the week ahead? I’d love to hear about it!Â
