What an absolutely fantastic week it has been. Both me and my husband have been off this week so we planned to have a mini getaway which was perfect. We went to quite a nice hotel nearby for a couple of nights and we just relaxed and did nothing. I cannot remember the last time we did nothing; even on holiday normally we’re dashing around here, there and everywhere, so it was lovely to just sit and take some time for ourselves. We ate some very tasty food, had afternoon naps and feel very refreshed. I wish we were on holiday all of the time!
February continues to be positive money-wise. We’re definitely on track in terms of spending and, providing nothing unexpected comes up, I’m feeling hopeful that we’ll meet our aims for the month. Even taking into account the money we’ve spent this week on various things, we should still be on target for the end of the month.
5 things I’ve enjoyed/been grateful for this week:
1) I’ve finished reading A Place of Secrets by Rachel Hore and it was excellent. I definitely recommend it!
2) I treated myself to some lovely pink and cream tulips for our living room and they’re so pretty. £3 well spent.
3) Quality time away with my husband and a bit of a recharge of batteries has made us both feel better.
4) A family walk and lunch out – exercise and food is a good combination.
5) New slippers! I finally got some new ones and they’re oh-so-comfy.
