Just as I think that things are settling down, life has a habit of throwing a spanner into the works, to make you realise that not everything can be inside your control. Another routine antenatal appointment had me back in the hospital again, being monitored for all sorts of things, including bump’s heart rate. Thankfully, everything (again) seems to be alright, but it is definitely a worrying time. The advice been given is to take it easy, make sure I’m not doing too much at work and relax as much as possible. It seems hard to relax when I’m constantly worrying about bump and whether everything is alright!
Money-wise, June continues to be a very positive month. I’m currently at 10 NSDs for June, with hopefully another five to gain during the next week. We have some treats in store for us this month, including going to the theatre and a friend’s christening. But, all are factored into the budget so shouldn’t make too much of a difference overall. I’m feeling more positive about our spending this month!
5 things I’ve enjoyed/been grateful for this week:
1) Again, living in a country with free healthcare; the NHS have been very thorough this week.
2) Seeing an old friend for lunch and a catch up.
3) Second antenatal class attended which including putting a nappy (diaper) on a doll!
4) A blogging day out with Eleanor from Creative Living – lots of ideas talked through and discussed.
5) Being able to dry clothes in the sunshine – sounds daft but it’s the little things that make the difference.
3 blog posts I’ve enjoyed this week:
1) Income/Expenses for May 2015 by Dividend Mantra. I love looking at people’s income and outgoings, and Jason is killing it!
2) Interview w/ My Mother Who’s About To Retire Early by Budgets Are Sexy. A lovely interview with some great insight.
3) Why Are You Paying For A Gym Membership? by The Savings Novice. As someone who used to have a gym membership, this is an interesting read.
And, in case you’ve missed them, these are the topics I’ve posted about this week:
– Frugal vs Cheap: Make It Count
What have you enjoyed reading this week? Any plans for the week ahead? I’d love to hear about it!

One of my favorite post is Why Are You Paying For A Gym Membership? by The Savings Novice. This just influenced me to buy some equipment so that I can exercise at home and lessen my visit to gym.
