Goodbye April! This month seems to have flown by, much quicker than March was. We had such a lovely family holiday at Center Parcs, even though it seems like ages ago now. A loved going into the swimming pool and going down the slides in the children’s bit. He was getting quite confident by the time we had left. And C was just happy walking everywhere, practising his new skill. Even if he did fall and get a bit bump on his head at one point.
I have also continued to add videos to my new YouTube channel. If I want to keep going with this, I think I shall have to invest into some better equipment as I’m currently just holding my phone and talking into the microphone on there and it could definitely be better quality. All in good time, I suppose.
In terms of our finances, I feel more confident about them than I have in ages, even though things are a bit up in the air at the moment. I have been dutifully keeping up to date with my spending by using my budget planner and I have my May one all set up and ready.
My Financial aims for April were:
– Have 18 No Spend Days (NSDs)
– Overpay our mortgage by £185
– Put £300 into savings
I have only managed 17 NSDs this month, but considering we’ve been on holiday during this time, I’m pleased with that. I am definitely noticing a trend with my spending days, as I’m keeping them tracked in my NSD tracker. A visual aid is really helping! In terms of our mortgage overpayment, this is going well so far in 2019! This month I have managed £199.46 to the mortgage. Finally, our savings amount is going to be smaller going forward, until we finish all the building word. I have put £303.27 into savings this month so met this one too 🙂
My Personal Aims For April were:
– try and get ahead with blog posts
– finish the book I’m currently reading.
So, this is a no and no. I haven’t competed either of these. I am not ahead at all with blog posts. I know roughly what I want to post during May but haven’t written any as of yet. Still not finished the book I’m reading either.
