Hello April! Finally, a new month. I know you’re not supposed to wish your life away but I’m so glad March is over. It was incredibly stressful for multiple reasons and I’m just glad it’s finished with. April must be better, I am sure of it. For a start, we’re going on holiday for five days of it 🙂 I cannot wait to get away.
The building work is progressing nicely, though I’m sure it’s going to get a lot worse before it gets better! So much dust everywhere, and they haven’t even knocked down the main wall yet. I am enjoying planning my new kitchen though 🙂 with a proper sized fridge!
Also, I’ve finally done something I have been thinking about for aaaages – I’ve posted my first YouTube video! It’s an April 2019 budget with me one, which is short but it’s a start. I was really nervous about it, and there is a lot to learn but I have posted my first video. I would love it if you could check it out and subscribe!
My Financial aims for April are:
– Have 18 No Spend Days (NSDs)
– Overpay our mortgage by £185
– Put £300 into savings
I didn’t meet my NSD target for March so I have kept it the same for April. We are away for five days plus we’re in the middle of building work so I think this might be tough. However, I am so determined, plus I think that filling in my budget planner every day will help. I’m hoping so  our mortgage overpayment aim will be the same each month from now on. And lastly, a very specific number into savings, which will be the same every month this year, I should think.
My Personal Aims For April are:
– try and get ahead with blog posts
– finish the book I’m currently reading.
If March has taught me anything, it’s that when things get tough, I don’t find the time or energy to write blog posts. I would love to get ahead with posts so that they would be posted consistently. Lots of the bigger blogs are months ahead with their posts being written – even a week would be a start! And I’ve been reading the same book for months now. I just need to get it finished.
Here’s to April being great! What are your aims for the month? I’d love to hear them!
