Goodbye December! Although technically a day early, as I’ll do a review of 2019 as a whole tomorrow, December 2019 is over. Another month gone, and just like that, another year too. December is always a hectic month and this year was no different. We seemed to be going places all the time. It was lovely though; I got to see Alfie is his first school nativity play. It was Charlie’s second birthday. It was my birthday and Mr FC.’s too. We’ve been to see my Grandpa and lots of other friends and family.
In fact, I have written about this before, but November and December are my favourite months of the year. Yes, they’re hectic and even more so with two children, but the excitement and the period leading up to Christmas is just magical. It’s even better with children; Christmas Day was such a pleasure to watch. I didn’t even care about getting any presents! Just watching my two open theirs and find that Santa had indeed been to our house in the north east, was enough.
Anyway, onto December’s aims!
My Financial aims for December were:
– Have 15 No Spend Days (NSDs)
– Put £400 into savings
I’ll be totally honest, I have lost track of NSDs this month. I think I’ve had 13 but I’m not entirely sure. It’s been so busy and I haven’t been filling in my budget planner so I just don’t know. I cannot wait to start January off with a clean slate and get back into tracking everything. It makes me much more focused, that’s for sure. However, I did manage to put £400 into our savings account, so a positive there. I haven’t managed to hit my savings aim for the year, but I’ll update more on that in tomorrow’s post.
My Personal Aims for December were:
– don’t get stressed!
I think I’ve done ok with this one! Yes, there have been times where it’s been incredibly stressful. But, on the whole, I have managed to keep it cool. I have enjoyed lots this month 🙂
