Hello December! I love this time of year and I’m so looking forward to Christmas. There are also lots of family birthdays in December. Mine is next week! Lots of things to look forward to. We are spending Christmas Day with my parents and then Boxing Day with Mr FC’s parents. I know that Frugal Baby still won’t understand much this year. However, I think he’s going to love the Christmas tree!
Inevitably, December is a busy month. Isn’t it for everyone? Work is especially busy at this time of year, for both Mr FC and myself. Mr FC doesn’t get much of a break either. But, I am looking forward to seeing various family members during this time. Normally December ends up being quite a spend-y month for us. We are going away overnight for my 30th birthday as well, to make more memories.
Financial aims for December:
– Have 15 No Spend Days (NSDs)
– Overpay our mortgage by £100
– Put £500 into savings
NSDs seem to be very elusive at the moment. I just missed my target in my November challenge, so I’ve reduced the target for December. Also, we are much busier so I am even unsure whether I’ll meet this. Continuing with plodding along with mortgage payments, I am aiming for £100 this month. This seems like a good number to aim for at the moment. Lastly, the savings aim is reduced as well. Getting some of the house decorated, plus holiday time means spending. I’ll be amazed if I get this!
Personal Aims For December:
– enjoy spending time with family.
Nothing more than spending time with family. Recent events have shown that spending time with our loved ones is so important. We are lucky to have such good families that surround us. Nothing else really matters, but it feels particularly so at this time of year. Reminiscing about some, laughing about stories told. Enjoying good food, good company and having fun. Isn’t that what life is all about?
Here’s to December being great! What are your aims for the month? I’d love to hear them!
