Hello July! After being able to share our lovely news in June, I’m looking forward to July. Mr FC has got a week off in July and then I’m off at the end of the month too, so it should be nice and relaxing. If the weather is nice, then we’ll be able to get outside and enjoy exploring. Frugal Baby loves going to the park at the moment!
We haven’t got much planned in July; just work mainly and then spending time together. We have two weddings to attend this month, so that’ll be nice to catch up with various people. It’s always interesting staying somewhere else with Frugal Baby as he isn’t the greatest sleeper at the best of times! But, he’s a very social child so he’ll enjoy making friends with everyone 🙂
Financial aims for July:
– Have 15 No Spend Days (NSDs)
– Overpay our mortgage by £50
– Put £700 into savings
The dreaded NSDs. I cannot seem to get a grip on these! I nearly made my aim in June so I’m keeping it the same for July. It’s the little spends that are creeping in. I can’t seem to avoid them either? I suppose the more I do with Frugal Baby, the more chances there are to spend. As always, I am continuing with plodding along with mortgage payments, though I am aiming for less. This is because I want to continue building my investments and dividend income. The savings aim is lower than recent months but I think it’s probably a more realistic aim. We shall see 🙂
Personal Aims For July:
– do some baking
– list 10 things on ebay
– have a date night with Mr FC
I haven’t baked anything recently, so I’m putting this again. The only problem with baking is that I then eat the finished article 😉 but I enjoy it and find it relaxing, so it’s an aim this month. Like I put last month, I have quite few clothing items that I keep meaning to get listed on eBay. Any extra pennies for the pot will help in my savings aim. Lastly, I feel like we rarely get any time as a couple at the moment, so a date night would be lovely. Hopefully we can manage to organise this, providing we can get someone to come and babysit 🙂
What are your aims for the month?

Sounds like some great goals for the month. I love baking too.. it’s meditative and that is the issue I have too.. if I can give it all away, then that’s all good!! lol

Haha, giving it away is a good plan! I just like cake too much to do that 🙂
