Hello June! Here’s hoping that June will be more positive than the previous two months have been. I feel much more positive about the start of the month already. I have been looking at my budget. Thinking about what I need to improve on. Feeling very determined and focused on things that need to be done.
We haven’t got much planned in June; just work and the usual balance of life. Hopefully we might get out on a couple of family days, time permitting. One of my friends from school is getting married at the end of the month, so that will be nice. I need to decide what to wear for that. There are no children invited to the wedding so Frugal Baby will have to spend the day/night at his grandparents. He won’t mind one bit 🙂
Financial aims for June:
– Have 15 No Spend Days (NSDs)
– Overpay our mortgage by £50
– Put £1000 into savings
The dreaded NSDs. I cannot seem to get a grip on these! The better the weather gets, the more I want to be outside and doing things with Frugal Baby. Little spends, such as parking, can ruin a potential NSD. So, it’s a lower aim but we’ll see. As always, I am continuing with plodding along with mortgage payments, though I am aiming for less. This is because I want to continue building my investments and dividend income. The savings aim is huge but it’s what I need to be consistently hitting. I didn’t manage to get anywhere near this in April or May so maybe I’ll get back on track in June? I think I might need to be listing a lot more on eBay to reach this.
Personal Aims For June:
– finish the book I’m currently reading
– list 10 things on ebay
– try and get into a better night time routine
I have been reading the same book for a while and although I am enjoying it, it is taking me ages to finish. By the time I get to bed I can’t be bothered to concentrate on reading! But, I do want to finish it. I have quite few clothing items that I keep meaning to get listed on eBay. So, this is a reminder for me if nothing else. Plus any extra pennies for the pot will help in my savings aim. Finally, I need to get into a better night time routine. That includes a good skin care routine and in bed at a reasonable time. Taking care of yourself is so important and I think doing this will help me sleep better. I’m hoping so, anyway!
What are your aims for the month?

Could you set aside a certain amount of money for parking etc that you can dip into to save the NSDs?
