I cannot be the only one that finds it hard to believe we are nearly at the end of May, already?! I cannot believe how quickly 2018 is going so far. I’m sure that being so busy doesn’t help with that, because before I know it another day is over and another bed time routine has to be tackled 😉 On the whole, our routine day to day is much more settled.
Frugal Baby is now five and a half months old. He is very interested in the world around him and particularly likes watching Frugal Toddler play. It’s so lovely to see the bond between them; I cannot wait for this to change and adapt as they grow. One of the things I’m most looking forward to is them playing together! Hopefully without arguing; a little optimistic I’m sure.
Sleeping wise, he is *touch wood* fairly good. He sleeps from 8:30 until 5-ish every night, which is amazing. Yes, 5am is quite an early start but we normally just have cuddles in bed when he wakes up, so I’m not having to do too much. If he could go until 6am that would be even better, but I’m not complaining! He continues to sleep in his Snuzpod which he loves but he is almost too big for it 🙁 part of me is not ready for him to move into his cot. He can’t be that big yet, surely!?
Did anyone watch the Royal Wedding at the weekend? I went round to a neighbours house to watch it, and thought it was lovely. I do love a bit of people watching too! Lots of celebrities in the mix there. The American priest did make me giggle a bit; that’s so different to how religion is done in the UK. Even some of the royal family members were doing their best not to smile!
Our finances are looking okay, especially as we get nearer to the end of another month. I don’t think I’ll get much in the way of income this month so we are just keeping an eye on things. We go on holiday for a week in June so there’ll be spending money to think about too. I’m so looking forward to that though; nothing like a change of scene to refresh the mind.
We’re finally coming out of the end of the chicken pox too! Me, Frugal Baby and Frugal Toddler have all had it and it’s been a bit tough. I felt so ill during it and Frugal Baby has had a particularly tough time too. We just need to wait for all of his spots to fade now and then hopefully that will be it. Although someone was telling me you can catch it more than once? I really hope not.
Hopefully there will be some more sunshine over the coming weeks as I only have five weeks left on maternity leave. I want to spend some of it int the garden with my two boys and maybe some days at the beach! I cannot believe it is almost over. I have loved (almost) every minute.
What about you? What exciting things have happened to you lately?

Really pleased the chicken pox is almost done and good you a got it at the same time (not great for Frugal Baby). That’s one childhood illness you don’t need to worry about now.
We are off for a week in June ad well. Another trip to Cumbria to try and find our forever home location. Wonder what curve ball Mr2p is going to throw this time?!
I started my may money focus as a result of your April cash month. It’s been a rollercoaster! Some lessons learned though which is always good. Only 7 more days to get through.

Whereabouts in Cumbria are you going to? What a lovely place to be moving too 🙂 I’d love to know how your May money focus ended!

Most people think that you can only get shingles (same virus) once they’ve had chicken pox, but you can get chicken pox twice. My ex had it as a child and in his thirties. It’s rare though so not something to worry about.

Oh really? I hope that’s it for all of us :/
