Happy Friday! Have you had a good week? I think this week has absolutely flown by, mainly due to the fact that our building work has finally started.
I’ll be honest, I have been very anxious about the building work starting. It will be worth it in the end – so worth it – but the disruption and chaos it will bring to our household in the short term is a bit difficult to comprehend. With two young children and no kitchen for months will pose some problems, and a different way of cooking for quite a while! But, they have made a great start so I can’t wait to see it progress. I will do a big post at the end of it all I think.
Frugal Baby is now walking around confidently, though he seems to stumble a lot, normally into things that are in his way. His poor head! But, it’s so cute to see him wandering around. He’s also very flexible so can squat and just stay there playing for ages without it bothering him. He does have a funny little walk though; because it’s still a new skill it’s a bit awkward. It’s even worse when he’s got his shoes on as he really doesn’t like them! Something else to get used to I suppose 🙂
We’re getting to the stage now where the boys have some squabbles over toys. I suppose it was inevitable that this would be the case. It’s tricky as they can’t communicate with each other yet, so it’s all about fraught until intervention. Sometimes, they can resolve it between them with various noises, but it’s interesting to see their different personalities developing.
I also also been selling some things on Facebook marketplace, thanks to help from Mr FC. It’s seriously easy to do and we’ve made £72 so far from selling things that we no longer need. We still have a couple of larger items on there and another that needs to be listed. But, I’ve got a post coming up about it because it’s so easy to do, anyone can do it.
Finally, I’m working on another couple of products for the Frugal Cottage shop, including some cash envelope designs. I just want to make sure they’re perfect! Enjoying the process though 🙂 is there anything you would like to see in there?
What about you? What exciting things have happened to you lately?

Good luck with the building work! I get twitchy with stuff like that as well. Even getting someone in to sort out a broken tap can feel stressful. Having said which, once it’s all done it’s always worth it.
My kids are older than yours but they still squabble over all sorts of things…I’m afraid it may get worse before it get’s better. But most of the time now they enjoy each other’s company. We’ve just been having a lovely weekend of time together pottering around the house and enjoying each others company….just Sunday night homework still to negotiate!
