Well, what a start to the year! I thought I’d do a Life Update as I haven’t done one since November.
The No Spend Year is going well! I feel so much more in control of my finances. I have only spent one day so far this year, which I’m really pleased about. There seems to be a lot of strong feelings about the term no spend but it really works for me. If it doesn’t work for you, then fine! It depends on what your lifestyle is. It doesn’t mean that I splurge on the days I spend – in fact, it makes me question spending at all.
Getting back into a routine is always good too. The mix of Christmas, sugar and different routines meant that we had tired, irritable children by the end of the Christmas holiday period. So, the routine and “back to normal” has worked wonders; sleep back to somewhat normal, not as much bickering and generally more easy going in our house. I presume that’s going to be same every Christmas for a while now?!
I mentioned in my last Life Update that I am in the process of writing an investing course. A very thorough, comprehensive this-is-how-you-do-it course. I’m excited about it – I get so many questions about how to start investing and receiving dividend income, that it will all be in the same place. So hopefully it can help you to start investing and making money! I was just wondering, is there anything you particularly want to see covered in it? Let me know in the comments!
Finally, at some point today my blog is going to pass the 1,000,000 page views mark. How amazing is that!? I’m so proud of that achievement. Thank you so much for reading, leaving comments and generally joining me on this journey! Here’s to the next million 😉
What has happened in your life lately? Let me know!

I would love to see an article on ethical investing – I think this is the reason why I haven’t start investing properly yet.
