Hello May! These are slightly later than I would normally post but for good reason – I have chicken pox! I can’t believe it 🙁 I never had it as a child and not entirely sure where I’ve caught it from, but it’s awful. I feel like I’ve got the flu, plus I have a lot of spots everywhere, including my face 🙁 so, I look and feel awful! Yay. Also, the chances of both boys getting it is high, so that’ll be fun.
I don’t think we’ve got much on in May. It’s a quiet month for us normally I think. Which hopefully will be good for our finances! I’m hoping the weather starts to improve so that I can get out in the garden with the boys and play outside. Fresh air does everyone good 🙂
Financial aims for May:
– Have 18 No Spend Days (NSDs)
– Overpay our mortgage by £85
– Put £600 into savings
I finally managed to hit my NSDs aim for April so I’ve upped it for May. I honestly don’t think we’ve got much on that I can think of, so I’m hoping I can do this 🙂 The overpayment aim is going to stay the same each month throughout the year. The savings aim is the same as last month; it is lower because we’re now on a reduced income whilst I’m on maternity leave. I didn’t quite reach this in April but we’ll see how it goes this month.
Personal Aims For May:
– lose 4lbs
– keep up with my bullet journal
– Sell five things on ebay.
The first two are the same as last month; I want to continue losing weight slowly, plus doing my bullet journal each work is quite relaxing. Finally, I have sold a few things on eBay in April so I want to continue this in May. We need to change the spare room into Frugal Toddler’s room eventually so I need to clear the space out 🙂
What are your aims for the month? I’d love to hear them!

Chicken pox? Poor you. Hopefully the boys will catch it from you so then you have it over and done with. Not fun if they wait until at school as its usually at least 5 days off school until spots scab over.
I think a quiet May is probably what you need!

Just be thankful it is chickenpox not shingles which can be far worse. Its the same virus and can lie dormant for many years and then strike again as shingles. Its a horrible illness. When you are better go to your Dr and ask for a shingles vaccination.
