Hello November! The one thing I can keep thinking of as I think about it being November, is that I’m due next month – eek! Time seems to be absolutely flying by now. I leave for maternity leave at the end of the month. I get to spend some quality time with Frugal Baby #1 before his whole world (and ours) changes.
As far as I can tell at the moment, we have nothing on during November. Not that that’s a bad thing – it’s sometimes nice to have months where it isn’t so busy. Life can be so hectic and December will be very busy for us, so I’m happy to have a quieter month first.
The main thing I want to get sorted during November is all of the presents bought and wrapped for Christmas. I don’t think that’s an unreasonable aim! We’ve made a good start with this 🙂 I also want to get all of the baby stuff sorted and everything ready, just in case. I want to make December as stress free as possible so all of this should help.
Financial aims for November:
– Have 18 No Spend Days (NSDs)
– Overpay our mortgage by £50
– Put £600 into savings
In October I didn’t met my NSD aim, but I’ve left it the same for November. Because it’s a quieter month for us, I’m hoping this will help with these.  As always, I am continuing with plodding along with mortgage payments, though I am aiming for less. This is because I want to continue building my investments and dividend income. Again, I didn’t hit my savings aim for October, I’ve actually lowered this for November. It isn’t in keeping with our long term savings goal, but as we have other things we need to get sorted this month, I’ll be pleased if I meet this.
Personal Aims For November:
– sort out everything for Frugal Baby #2
– be in bed by 10pm every night
– book a pregnancy massage
As time goes by and it gets closer and closer, the more I am focusing on being organised. Because it’s getting closer to Christmas and we already have a toddler to contend with, I’m slightly worried that we won’t be ready when Frugal Baby #2 arrives. So, this is to help me more than anything! Lately, my bedtime seems to be getting later and later, and then I wonder why I feel constantly exhausted. I need to get into a better routine that will help me relax and rest more. Finally, I put a pregnancy massage in my October aims, then promptly forgot about it! I do want to treat myself to one though, so it’s on the list for November 🙂
That’s it! Here’s to November being great ?

Ahh I need to be better about setting these short-term goals.
As far as November, I’d love to continue reining in our food costs and keeping things affordable. With the holidays fast approaching it gets a little stressful on the money front.

Good luck with your November goals 🙂

How exciting, not long until your baby arrives now!
My baby was due at the end of October last year, and I aimed to get all of my Christmas shopping done and wrapped by then. I did and was so glad of it, am sure you will achieve it too.
