Hello November! I have been quite poorly for the entire month of October and am finally feeling better. I am hoping that I can get back on track during November. It feels like I have lost a month! November seems such a good month; it’s getting closer to the holidays and it’s getting towards my favourite time of year. Winter is my favourite season so November means we’re getting close.
November is a quiet month for us as a household. Just the usual work/school/nursery stuff as always. Hopefully that means it will be quiet in terms of spending as well! I am hoping to get my Christmas shopping finished by the end of the November. December is such a busy month that I would like to be finished so I can relax a bit rather than it being a big rush at the end. If you have any favourite smaller, independent shops that you can recommend, please leave them below in the comments. I am going to try and buy everything from independent businesses this year, rather than the bigger corporate companies.
As always, the start of a new month means new goals. I haven’t posted them here for a while but I do them every month to keep me in check. Otherwise I tend to drift and I love some monthly aims to focus on.
My Financial aims for November are:
– Have 18 No Spend Days (NSDs)
– Overpay the mortgage by £50
– Put £500 into savings
These are all the same as normal, just with slightly less NSDs as I want to get my Christmas shopping done. It might potentially mean spending on more days. I am also hoping to work on my side hustles – have you seen my Virtual Assistant Handbook? – and continue to build different sources of income. I just need to work on my time management!
My Personal Aims for November are:
– read two fiction books
– finish Christmas shopping
– decide on what I want my birthday present to be 🙂
Reading is my thing but I haven’t done as much lately. I have just finished When She Was Good which I was totally hooked by – definitely recommend it! I have another couple of books on my to read pile, so I just need to choose which one.
I have already mentioned about Christmas shopping – I have got my list of people I need to buy for plus some general ideas. I love buying presents for other people!
It’s my birthday in December so I need to decide what to ask for – I have had more than one family member ask me what I want to I need to make a decision. There’s not much I need!
Here’s to November being great! What are your aims for the month? I’d love to hear them!
