Hello September! I feel like September always feels like a good time for a reset. I suppose that comes from being at school, all those years ago. But, August has been such an expensive month that I am hoping to reign it in during September.
In fact, I am doing a No Spend September! As this video talks through – I really need to stop spending money. And a no spend month is the perfect way to do it. I will be tracking my No Spend Days in my budget planner and sharing daily updates over on my Instagram. Do you want to join me in a No Spend September? It would be great to have you join me!
As always, the start of a new month means new goals. I haven’t posted them here for a while but I do them every month to keep me in check. Otherwise I tend to drift and I love some monthly aims to focus on.
My Financial aims for September are:
– Have 22 No Spend Days (NSDs)
– Overpay the mortgage by £50
– Put £500 into savings
These are all the same as normal, just with slightly more NSDs as I’m doing a No Spend Month. I’m hoping to work on my side hustles – have you seen my Virtual Assistant Handbook? – and continue to build different sources of income. I just need to work on my time management!
My Personal Aims for September are:
– get back into a schedule
– read two fiction books
– get back into my good night time routine
Over the last two months I really haven’t been working to a schedule; and it shows! I am definitely one who works better with a routine in place and one that I follow every day. I need to get back to this.
Reading is my thing but I haven’t done as much lately. Are you sensing a theme? I am! I am currently reading The Silent Wife – I have nearly finished it and want to know the ending! Once I have finished this my next one to read is The Doctor Will See You Now – really like what he stands for and so think it will be an interesting read.
Finally, I need to stick to my night time routine. It works when I stick to it and maybe it will help me not feel so tired all of the time.
Here’s to September being great! What are your aims for the month? I’d love to hear them!
