Happy Sunday! Are you doing anything nice today? We’re off out at lunch time for a Christmas lunch with family which should be lovely. Although I get slightly anxious when trying to keep a 3 year old preoccupied until the food arrives. At least there’s going to be a few of us to do that task 🙂
We also now have a 1 year old! My baby boy turned 1 during the last week 🙂 we had a little party with just family members which was really nice. Both Mr FC and I were at work on his actual birthday, but he had a good day regardless. At least he doesn’t really know what’s going on this year! He does like the balloons we’ve got in the living room, plus some new toys to play with.
I also feel so unready for Christmas. We still haven’t bought all of the presents we need to; I haven’t written all of the Christmas cards that need posting; I only remembered last week that I haven’t bought any stocking fillers yet, so more things to find. The list feels never ending! I am looking forward to the time off and spending time with those closest to us. Frugal Toddler is so excited – he keeps asking “is it Christmas yet?” so I cannot wait to see his face when it actually is Christmas day!
There are some things I have been mulling over recently, and one of these will feature in a post on Tuesday. It’s more of a ponder at this stage, but the post will go over my thoughts behind it, plus any advice given would be very gratefully received. I also must look back at my 2018 and see if I’ve met any – I think it will be very mixed, given the year we have had.
5 things I’ve enjoyed/been grateful for this week:
1) Stollen bites from Aldi, yum.
2) Just how lucky my boys are.
3) Managing some hot cups of tea!
4) The second tooth of Frugal Baby arriving – they’re so tiny and cute.
5) Christmas lights are up – Frugal Toddler loves them.

Enjoy your Christmas lunch with your family. I’m sure the excitement of it all will occupy your toddlers, maybe a small toy, will amuse them. Pleased to hear that you have managed a hot tea or two. Christmas is creeping up so fast this year, I’m not prepared either! My budgeting is chaotic to say the least. I’m looking forward to your blog on Tuesday, can’t wait to read about your new ideas/plan.
