Happy Saturday! Have you had a good week? I know this is a weekend edition but I’ll be honest, all the days seem the same at the moment. As there’s no difference between weekend and weekday, it can be tricky to know what day it is. I also feel like I’m getting more and more used to be at home as time goes on. Won’t it be strange when things transition? Apparently in the UK that’s going to start slowly on Monday, though it won’t impact us just yet I don’t think. I definitely feel safe at home so it will take some adjusting to.
That being said, I am missing human interaction much more than I thought I would! It was such an abrupt change to seeing hundreds of people in a week to seeing just my husband and two children. A massive change. I love them but it would be nice to see someone else and have a different conversation other than talking about Paw Patrol for hours on end.
Finances wise, we are still continuing our No Spend Year and in some ways this is easier than I had ever imagined it would be; simply because I cannot spend money when I’m not going anywhere. Apart from ordering a couple of things online – some new shelves for my office being one – I am avoiding online shopping successfully. It would have been a temptation not so long ago, so I am proud of this. Even my takeaway coffees are no longer being missed as they once were. Maybe that’s a good thing? I can’t imagine just popping to Costa any time soon. Better for my waistline and pocket!
I have already mentioned this over on Instagram but I am so excited as I put the basics of this together – soon I am going to be to offering workshops on the basics of investing and how to get started. SO EXCITED about it. It means I get to talk to people face to face – online anyway – and help people start their journey. Investing can seem such a scary place so I’m hoping that this will put people at ease. If you want to be the first to be notified of these, then don’t forget to sign up to my newsletter. There will be limited spaces available, but depending on how it goes, I might try and do more than one!
5 things I’ve enjoyed/been grateful for this week:
1) The sunshine
2) We made homemade hot cross buns which were tasty.
3) Watching my two boys play together nicely – it does happen sometimes!
4) I’ve just finished reading this book – LOVED it.
5) Killing Eve – season 3 is good so far 🙂
What have you enjoyed reading this week? Any plans for the week ahead? I’d love to hear about it!

My life has altered very little. I am my mother’s carer and I stay home so much! I rarely buy anything off the internet but as the days growing longer and more boring I find myself looking at various things. So far I have kept to only viewing.
Best wishes on coming out of the Covid crisis. I am praying that by July three our restrictions have eased enough so I can attend my daughter’s wedding.
Stay safe and well.

I have a “make your own pizza” kit coming from a local pizza place today. Whilst I know its not hard to make dough- I get to help a local company & they are bringing me pizza flour too! Yay. That’s about it, probably some gardening and otherwise just taking a break from the online world. Oh, apart from being here right now…
