The weekend edition post used to be a weekly update here at The Frugal Cottage, but I am finding it more and more tough to find the time. The days are so busy and full of feeding, winding, hoping my children will nap and generally surviving, that blogging has taken a back seat.
I knew this would always be the case. But, I am struggling to find a good balance between everything. Sleep deprivation is definitely not helping in this. I am missing sleep so much. Having a newborn means you sign up for interrupted sleep but it’s so hit and miss at the moment. Five hours appears to be the average at the moment. There are some days where I long to just stay in bed, but I can’t!
Mr FC has been off work this past week so it’s been nice to have some family time as a four. Though, that comes with a downside – we’ve been spending more! But, we don’t often get time together so it has been nice. Frugal Toddler has definitely liked his Daddy being at home so often. We have been out for lunch a couple of times and we’ve also purchased a couple of home items that have been on the list for a while.
But, both boys have been poorly for the past two weeks which has been hard at times. I just want them to be well! Frugal Toddler started off with a mega snotty cold and then got conjunctivitis to add to that mix. Then Frugal Baby caught the cold and now has a horrible cough which is keeping him awake even longer during the night. It’ll be nice for everyone when they’re back on full form 🙂
5 things I’ve enjoyed/been grateful for this week:
1) Baby snuggles on a morning.
2) Baby smiles – he’s just started smiling and it’s SO cute.
3) Coffee with my mother-in-law 🙂
4) Family time as a four 🙂
5) Chocolate!

Glad you’re enjoying your baby. They grow way too fast, can’t believe my youngest is a feisty toddler already!
Don’t worry about blogging etc. You can always pick it up again properly when you get more time.
Hope the little ones are better soon.
